Duties:
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with the curriculum and educational
standards. - Ability to teach KS4 pupils facilitating them towards Trilogy (double award) GCSE following the
AQA specification. May be required to assist high ability individuals towards Triple awards GCSE. - Utilise a newly refurbished science laboratory to plan and deliver lessons, incorporating hands-on
experiments that enhance student learning and scientific inquiry. - Deliver engaging lessons to students of varying abilities, fostering a positive and collaborative
learning environment. - Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and observations, providing
constructive feedback. - Create innovative classroom activities to enhance student understanding and critical thinking skills.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about student progress and address any
concerns. - Participate in professional development opportunities to improve teaching practices and stay
updated with educational trends.
Skills required
Skill required:
- Science-based qualification to minimum A-Level standard
- Prior teaching experience is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage and inspire students.
- Familiarity with diverse teaching methodologies and the ability to tailor lessons to meet individual
learning needs. - Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills, creating a positive and structured learning
environment that supports student engagement and academic success. - A passion for education and a commitment to fostering a supportive and stimulating learning
environment.
