Maths Teacher

Work pattern: 16-20 hours per week, flexible

Start date: September

Duties

  • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with the curriculum and educational
    standards.
  • Deliver engaging lessons to students of varying abilities, fostering a positive and collaborative
    learning environment.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and observations, providing
    constructive feedback.
  • Create innovative classroom activities to enhance student understanding and critical thinking skills.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about student progress and address any
    concerns.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to improve teaching practices and stay
    updated with educational trends.

Skills required

  • Science-based qualification eg. A level Maths or Physics to minimum A-Level standard
  • Prior teaching experience is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage and inspire students.
  • Familiarity with diverse teaching methodologies and the ability to tailor lessons to meet individual
    learning needs.
  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills, creating a positive and structured learning
    environment that supports student engagement and academic success.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to fostering a supportive and stimulating learning
    environment.
